Karina is the curator of your special day, helping you bring your vision to life. With her guidance, you can design the perfect decor, feel, ambiance and style. She is the director, whether you love rustic, boho, classic, formal, simple elegance or over-the-top, she knows professionals and rental vendors to make it a reality.
John is the creator of this incredible place bringing his vision to life. It has been a labour of love, having designed and built everything. He is a master at re-purposing, incorporating rare finds and historical pieces into the venue. He is a true craftsman, integrating rustic design with functionality and attention to detail.
This is how our memories began….
Way way back in 1985 we met at a hot night spot called Christo’s II, and haven’t looked back since. John drove me home in his 1972 Plymouth Fury II. That car is paramount in our memories and our lives together.
Our own wedding took place in May of 1988, and it was so special to us. Of course, the Fury was our wedding car. It has come with us everywhere, and we still enjoy going on Sunday drives together in the big black car!
We have been working together as entrepreneurs since 1989 when we founded our landscape design/build company Concept Land Design. By 1999 we were honoured to win the Entrepreneur of the Year Award for Ontario.
In 2011 we wound that business down, and took the plunge into our wedding venue. In 2016 we were voted Best Floral Display Landscaped Areas Commercial in the Municipality of Central Elgin.
We will be celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary as life partners, business partners, and true soul mates in 2023.
